Description

Messier 101 is a very large, relatively nearby, face-on spiral galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major. It is also known as the Pinwheel Galaxy.  SkySafari Pro 6

This image along with the Sunflower Galaxy that I also recently added were taken with a very widefield setup.   I used a Stellarvue 336mm refractor with an ASI1600MM-P camera.   There is a radical crop but the interesting thing....even at the FL there was a lot of detail to be processed.   There was a lot of uprezzing done incrementally  to pull this off.
